is an independant initiative dedicated to helping business
and communities achieve sustainability.
Our goals are:
- To provide consumers and investors
with information to allow greater choice to exercise
buying
power and
reward businesses that demonstrate social & environmental
responsibility; and
- To assist small & large, public
and private sector organisations with the necessary skills,
tools and support to improve financial, environmental
and social performance.
GETRA Sustainability
operate under the principle that communities and businesses
will prosper from a committment to sustainability. We are
genuinely interested in helping organisations to improve
their triple bottom line, and consequently, to benefit from
consumer support for efforts to preserve the environmental
capital that underpins the social and economic well being
of communties.
We aim to do this through developing
and delivering three key programs to meet the needs of
business and consumers.
- Assisting business with knowledge and financial incentives
to become more sustainable. GETRA Better Business Services
provides consultancy support to business to improve,
manage and communicate their environmental and social
performance. In doing so we assist organisations to lower
operating costs, generate market opportunities, broaden
customer bases and loyalties and set market trends.
- Providing information to local & regional networks
of communities & consumers about the sustainble practices
of businesses in their area. Our aim is to bring together
the those business working towards sustainability and
the growing number of consumers interested in making
the choice to reward those companies doing so.
- Developing a National Sustainability Supermarket distributing
& promoting products services produced an environmental & socially
responsibe way.
GETRA Sustainability were established specifically to
help broaden the adoption of sustainable practices by business
and communities. Our staff
have qualifications and experience working in environmental
planning and assessment, natural resource management, community
and stakeholder engagement, marketing, education and project
management.
Our team have more than 10 years experience providing
services to government and
private sector organisations in environmental,
construction, automotive, retail, service, and hospitality
industries.
